User Interface Engineer (HTML/CSS/Javascript) at Vibio

Want to drive and build the front end of a compelling pre-launch Consumer Internet start-up?

Vibio, based in SOMA, is looking for User Interface Engineers to build our next version and position us for a large, public launch. We crave engineers that want a single digit employee number and can define best practices that will build a company.

Responsibilities

Code primarily in PHP, Javascript, HTML & CSS
Work with our Chief Product Officer and other Software Engineers to implement the next generation of Vibio
Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Drive design and code reviews
Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering

Requirements

Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers
Passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces
Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
Experience with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for UI components
Knowledge of but not reliant on Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo, jQuery, etc.
2+ years of experience building web applications
BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
